Welcome to CN Signs’ Official Apprenticeship Program

Course description

This Course covers the full first year of the Sign Specialist Apprenticeship developed for CN Signs. The program is organized into 12 monthly competency modules, each built around a consistent 4-week cycle: independent research, formal assessment, applied skill demonstration, and a supervisor-led competency evaluation. The sequence moves from foundational safety and shop orientation through fabrication, illumination, and electrical sign wiring, into full product assembly (cabinet signs, channel letters), and finishes with site work, installation, and customer handoff.
This program is scoped to what CN Signs’ C-45 Sign Contractor license authorizes. Electrical content is limited to sign-specific wiring under NEC Article 600; general branch circuit and panel work is excluded until the company’s C-10 electrical licensing is formally resolved at the CSLB level. This scope note is repeated in Module 7 where it is most relevant.
